It’s finally here. The day every little girl spends her whole life dreaming of. No, not the wedding day, the hen party, of course! There’s loads of traditional ideas for hen parties to be found, but if you’re looking for something less conventional, here’s 8 suggestions guaranteed to get the hens cackling.

1. Have a weekend away. Crazy fun is never crazier than when it lasts for multiple days. Pick an exotic location you’ve always dreamed of going and throw caution to the wind.

2. Stripper class. Not only is it a great workout, but it’s appropriately naughty. Spend a few hours learning to bump and grind as the professionals do.

3. Cocktail lessons. Learn how to mix your favorite libations from scratch. Astound each other with your alcoholic creativity. Not just for aspiring bartenders.

4. Stand up at a comedy club. Giggling is a great way to spend any night. Better yet, find an open mic night and dare the bride-to-be to have a go.

5. Costumed beauties. Pick a theme and get everyone to arrive dressed to the nines. Allocate prizes for various rankings, funniest costume, sexiest costume, girl whose normal wardrobe most resembles costume, etc.

6. Movie night drinking game. Establish a movie choice - something like “Star Wars” - then assign a different word to each player. Penny, for instance, must drink every time someone says “dark side.”

7. Tattoos. Theme tattoos commemorating the night can make a lovely memory, but be sure to decide on a design before any alcohol is consumed.

8. Slumber party! Pyjamas required, pranks suggested, Ouija board optional.
